Convert from Windows Box to UTF-8:

  iconv -f LATIN1 -t UTF8 input.file > output.file
  
<note tip>Note that iconv uses //stdout// by default for output. To output the transformed data to a file use the redirect operator.</note>

To list all supported encodings just enter

  iconv -l
